DAY 1: Arrival in ANTANANARIVO

Arrival in Ivato International airport, meet and greet with a guide then transfer to your hotel IC hotel.

 

DAY 2: ANTANANARIVO – MIANDRIVAZO

After breakfast, departure to Antsirabe, the water city of Madagascar. Crossed by the typical landscape road of the highlands strewed with rice fields and traditional houses. Visit of a forging workshop (cooking pots) and confectionery of “bonbon gasy” (local treats) in Ambatolampy. Continuation to Miandrivazo after lunch. Observation of semi-arid landscapes, typical of the South-West Madagascar along the way. 

Overnight at the hotel Princesse Tsiribihina or similar.

 

DAY 3: MIANDRIVAZO – MORONDAVA – KIRINDY

After breakfast, departure to Morondava, observation of different landscape dominated by rice fields. The west of Madagascar is characterized by a dry climate. In this region, the vegetation and the landscape take on an unexpected and sometimes supernatural dimension and forms. We continue our drive to Kirindy through the alley of baobabs. Dinner and overnight at Kirindy hotel.

 

DAY 4: KIRINDY

In the morning, visit of the reserve of Kirindy Mitea, one of the most rewarding wildlife site where visitors see different species of lemurs such as fulvus rufus, red-fronted brown lemurs. Lunch at the hotel.

Afternoon free.

At the end of afternoon, night visit expedition to see fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox) a largest carnivorous mammal endemic to Madagascar and the six species of nocturnal lemurs like cheirogaleus medius, mizra coquereli

Dinner and overnight at Kirindy hotel.

 

DAY 5: KIRINDY – BEKOPAKA

After breakfast, road to Bekopaka. Arrival at the Tsiribihina river, then take a ferry to Belo sur Tsiribihina. Lunch in Belo sur Tsiribihina.

After lunch, direction to Bekopaka. The trip takes us to the deep of Madagascar

Dinner and overnight at Olympe du Bemaraha.

 

DAY 6: GREAT TSINGY

A whole day dedicate for the visit. In the morning, excursion by traditional dugout to discover the richness of the gorge of Manambolo. Visit the caves with a beautiful set of limestone formations, observation from afar the tomb of vazimba. Continuation of the visit for a great Tsingy in Andamozavaky. a national park listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1990. Observation of tsingy formation, panoramic view, crossed by the pontoon bridge, a different kinds of the lemur, birds, plants…Lunch picnic. 

Return to the hotel towards the end of the afternoon.

Dinner and overnight at Olympe du Bemaraha.

DAY 7: BEKOPAKA – MORONDAVA

After the breakfast, direction to Morondava. Ferry on the river Tsiribihina followed by a dirt track. A small bend in the village of Mangily, an once opportunity to take photos at the famous loving baobab of Madagascar. Towards the end of the afternoon, sunset at the avenue of baobabs; the moment will have been waiting for and one of the most beautiful landscapes of the big island.

Dinner and overnight at Chez Maggie.

 

DAY 8: MORONDAVA – ANTSIRABE

Breakfast and return to Antsirabe.

DAY 9: ANTSIRABE – ANTANANARIVO – ANDASIBE

Departure to Andasibe, the closest park to the capital Antananarivo. Stopover and visit of the Peyreiras private reserve to observe the great varieties of butterflies and reptiles such as the endemic chameleons of Madagascar. Overnight at Andasibe lemurs lodge.

 

DAY 10: ANDASIBE

Visit of the Analamazaotra National Park to search the biggest lemur of Madagascar, “indri indri”, the other species of lemur (the bamboo-lemur, fulvus), some birds and a variety of reptiles living in the rainy forest, rich vegetation, tree ferns…

In the afternoon, visit of the lemur island at Vakôna Forest Lodge.

Overnight at Andasibe lemurs lodge

 

DAY 11: ANDASIBE – ANTANANARIVO

Free time in the morning.

After lunch, direction Antananarivo,city tour and handicraft market.

Dinner and overnight hotel IC hotel.

 

DAY 12: ANTANANARIVO – INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

Transfer at Ivato international airport and outbond flight to Europe/Asie/America
